Philodendron Pink Princess
Philodendron Pink Princess Philodendron erubescens 'Pink Princess' — 4" Landscape Pot
Few plants command attention quite like the Pink Princess. Its deep, almost chocolate-green leaves are dramatically splashed with bubblegum pink variegation — a combination so bold and unexpected it stops people in their tracks. Every leaf is different, every new unfurl a surprise, making this one of the most talked-about and sought-after houseplants around. If the White Princess is elegant, the Pink Princess is a showstopper.
Care Tips
Light: Bright indirect light is a must. The pink variegation is light-dependent — too little and new leaves will come in mostly green; too much direct sun and the delicate pink sections can burn. A bright spot out of direct rays is the sweet spot.
Water: Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. Keep moisture consistent but never let it sit in soggy soil. Well-draining potting mix and a pot with drainage holes are essential.
Humidity: Loves humidity. Average household levels will do, but higher humidity encourages larger, more vibrant leaves. A humidifier nearby or a pebble tray with water both help.
Temperature: Prefers warm indoor temps between 65–80°F. Protect from cold drafts, air conditioning vents, and cold windowsills in winter.
Feeding: Fertilize once a month in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Consistent feeding supports healthy growth and helps maintain strong variegation.
Tips: The amount of pink on each leaf is unpredictable — that's part of the magic. If you notice several very green leaves in a row, try moving it to a brighter spot to encourage more variegation in new growth.
