Substitution Policy

At Plattsburgh Flower Market, we strive to fulfill every customer order as closely as possible to the images and descriptions shown on our website or in-store displays. However, due to the nature of the floral industry, there may be instances where we need to make substitutions to ensure the timely delivery of your order or to meet our high standards of quality.

 

In the event that a particular flower or product is not available, we reserve the right to substitute it with another of equal or greater value and similar appearance. If you would like to be notified of substitutions prior to delivery, please indicate so on your order. If we are unable to reach you for approval, we will proceed with the substitution.

If you have specific preferences for your order, such as a particular flower color or type, you should indicate this at the time of ordering. We will do our best to accommodate these requests, but we cannot guarantee their availability.

Please note that our substitution policy applies only to individual flowers or products within an arrangement, and not to the overall design or style of the arrangement. Our skilled florists will always strive to create arrangements that are as close as possible to the original design while still using the highest quality flowers available.

Refund Policy

Thank you for choosing to shop with Plattsburgh Flower Market. Our goal is to ensure that our customers are completely satisfied with their purchases.

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your order, please contact us within 24 hours.  We will be happy to assist you and resolve any issues that may have arisen.

In situations where a refund is warranted, we offer various options such as a partial refund, store credit, or alternative accommodations. However, please be aware that certain products, such as customized or perishable items, may not be eligible for a refund.

To ensure smooth delivery, we kindly ask for a minimum of 24-hour notice prior to the delivery time if calling the shop. For holiday weeks, we recommend placing orders a minimum of 5-7 business days in advance to ensure a wide selection and delivery availability.

We kindly request that you provide us with the recipient's phone number to ensure someone is present at the location to receive the delivery. Our call is not only to confirm the availability of the recipient, but also verify delivery address and to arrange a suitable delivery time. Unfortunately, we cannot leave deliveries at the doorstep. If no one is present at the time of delivery, we will leave a call tag at the residence and bring the delivery back on the truck and notify recipient and customer.  We will make our best efforts to make another delivery accommodation or ask for the recipient to pick up the delivery at our location.

Flower deliveries can be affected by inclement weather conditions such as heavy rain, snow, or extreme heat. In such situations, delivery delays or cancellations may occur due to safety concerns for delivery personnel or damage to the flowers. We take every precaution to ensure the safety of our employees and the quality of the flowers. We use protective coverings, temperature-controlled vehicles, and may use alternate delivery routes to mitigate the effects of bad weather. Customers should keep in mind that inclement weather may affect their delivery and plan accordingly by ordering in advance or choosing a different delivery date. In case of any issues, we will be in contact to communicate any updates and possible solutions. 

Funeral Home Locations

Funeral homes require sympathy arrangements to be delivered 2 1/2 - 3 hours before the viewing hours. If the order is placed late and there is a second set of viewing hours, we can deliver the order then or we recommend setting up delivery to the home of the bereaved.

SUNY Plattsburgh & Clinton Community College Deliveries

Due to enhanced security protocols at SUNY Plattsburgh and Clinton Community College dormitories, only students are permitted to enter the dorms. For deliveries, we will contact the recipient to schedule a suitable delivery time and upon arrival, the driver will require a second phone call to the recipient to arrange to meet at the main entrance of the building to receive the flower delivery.

Local Hospital & Nursing Home Facility Deliveries

To arrange a delivery at The University of Vermont Health Network - Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH), please ensure that the patient has been assigned a room as we cannot deliver to the ICU due to hospital regulations. Once a room has been assigned, we would be delighted to deliver your floral arrangement. Please note that our current delivery policies, effective in 2023, require us to leave the delivery with a staff member at the entrance of the hospital or nursing home facility. As a result, we cannot guarantee the exact time of delivery to the recipient. 

​

 For safety reasons, we recommend that you consider using plastic containers or baskets instead of glass when sending flowers to a nursing home or hospital. Plastic containers or baskets are less likely to break or shatter, which could potentially cause harm to patients or residents. By choosing plastic, you can help ensure the well-being of those receiving your thoughtful gift.
