4” Victoria Fern
Victoria Bird's Nest Fern Asplenium nidus 'Victoria' — 4" Pot
With its long, glossy fronds edged in dramatic ruffled waves, the Victoria Bird's Nest Fern is as sculptural as it is lush. Unlike the feathery, delicate look of most ferns, this one makes a bold statement — elegant, architectural, and surprisingly easygoing. It's a standout on a shelf, desk, or tabletop and one of the more forgiving ferns you can bring home.
Care Tips
Light: Thrives in medium to bright indirect light. A spot a few feet from a window is ideal. Avoid direct sun, which will bleach and scorch the fronds.
Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Water around the edges of the pot rather than into the center rosette — water pooling at the base of the fronds can cause rot.
Humidity: Loves humidity. Bathrooms and kitchens are natural fits, or mist the fronds occasionally to keep them happy.
Temperature: Prefers warm indoor temps between 65–80°F. Keep away from cold drafts, air conditioning vents, and exterior doors in winter.
Feeding: Fertilize once a month in spring and summer with a diluted balanced liquid fertilizer. Less is more — over-fertilizing can cause brown, crinkled frond edges.
Tips: Don't be alarmed by slow growth — Bird's Nest Ferns take their time, but each new frond that unfurls from the center is worth the wait!
