Important Details Regarding Our Wedding Floral Packages

1. Why book a wedding package?

Our Classic Collection & Garden Romance wedding packages are perfect for small weddings and elopements in Plattsburgh and the Adirondacks. They make wedding flowers simple — you know exactly what you are getting and what it costs. Our packages include bridal bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets and boutonnieres. It eliminates the stress of custom planning when you just need beautiful personals only.

2. How soon before my wedding do I need to book a package?

Ideally 6 months to a year before your wedding, especially for summer and fall weddings in Lake Placid and Plattsburgh. The absolute latest is 2-3 months before to allow us to source your flowers. Packages are limited during peak season and we do turn away dates.

3. Do I need to book a consultation to discuss my wedding package?
No — our wedding packages are designed to be simple and do not require a full custom consultation. You can come into Plattsburgh Flower Market and choose your colors in a brief meeting. If you cannot come in, we can talk by phone. Please note: color shades like blue, blush, and dusty rose have many variations and are best chosen in person. If you need centerpieces, ceremony flowers, or changes to bouquet style, we recommend a full custom consultation with our $100 plus tax retainer.

 

4. How to book a wedding package?
The best way to book is to come into the flower shop at 12 Cornelia Street, Plattsburgh, NY and discuss your wedding colors in a brief meeting. If you cannot come in, we can take your order by email or phone. A $100 plus tax retainer is required to reserve your date and is applied to your final balance. Final balance is due one month before your wedding. We do not order flowers without final payment.

5.  Do I need to pay a retainer for a wedding package?
Yes. A $100 plus tax retainer reserves your wedding date on our calendar and guarantees flowers for your wedding. Once you book, we begin sourcing and consulting with our suppliers to purchase items for your wedding. Your retainer is non-refundable and non-transferable because we turn away other weddings for your date. It is applied to your final balance.

6. When is the final balance due?
Your final balance is due in full one month before your wedding. An easy day to remember. We do not order, design, or schedule staff without final payment in full. Your proposal is an estimate based on current market pricing, final pricing is confirmed when final payment is due.

7. What if I need a different number of items? Do you offer ala carte? Can I buy multiple packages?
Yes. If you purchase a package but need more bouquets or boutonnieres for additional attendants, we calculate the cost of extra blooms and add a quote to your package. If you need church pieces, ceremony flowers, or wedding reception centerpieces, this requires additional flowers and labor and will be quoted separately. You may also double your package purchase to have more flowers to use at your discretion. All add-ons require final payment one month before.

8.Do you deliver wedding packages?
To keep our wedding package costs low for small Plattsburgh weddings, delivery is not included in our package price. Packages are pickup only at Plattsburgh Flower Market. Delivery and on-site setup can be added for an additional fee based on location and is quoted separately. Full-service custom weddings starting at $3,000-$5,000 and up do include delivery and setup options.

9. Can I choose the flowers? What flowers will I get? What about substitutions?

In our Classic Collection & Garden Romance Collections we have carefully chosen flowers that define a specific look — Classic is timeless and elegant, Garden Romance is soft, garden style with texture. You are able to choose the colors of the flowers and ribbons to coordinate with your vision, but specific flower varieties are designer's choice based on season and availability. If a specific flower becomes unavailable or market pricing increases significantly, we will substitute with a flower of equal or greater value in the same color palette, texture, and style to maintain the look of your bouquets. We do not call week-of for standard substitutions. This is covered in your contract. Flower availability and pricing change daily.

10. How do I make sure my color scheme and theme are represented?
To be sure your color scheme and theme are represented, we always recommend providing swatches, ribbon, or a photo of your bridesmaid dress to match or coordinate with your vision in person. Monitor and phone photos change colors. Bringing a swatch to Plattsburgh Flower Market is the best way to ensure your colors.

11. What is your cancellation and refund policy for packages?
Because we order fresh flowers specifically for your wedding, all packages are non-refundable within 60 days of your wedding date. If you cancel more than 60 days before your wedding, you forfeit your $100 plus tax retainer. Any additional monies paid beyond the retainer will be refunded minus any flowers or supplies already special ordered for your wedding. If you cancel within 60 days, no refunds will be issued because we have committed to the purchase with our wholesalers. All cancellations must be in writing.

12. Can I choose the design of the bouquets - cascade, clutch?

Our Classic Collection package includes a classic clutch bouquet as standard. Our Garden Romance Collection includes a more free-form, garden style bouquet. If you prefer a cascade, waterfall, or more elaborate large bouquet, this is considered a custom wedding and would be higher cost due to increased flowers, labor, and mechanics. Custom weddings start at $3,000-$5,000 and up and require a full custom consultation with our $100 plus tax retainer to discuss flowers needed and provide an accurate quote.

13. Are centerpieces included or flowers for ceremony or reception? Can those be added?
Our wedding packages do not include church pieces, arch flowers, or wedding centerpieces. They are personals only - bouquets and boutonnieres. We would be more than happy to design centerpieces and ceremony flowers for you. The cost would be above the basic packages and we would need to discuss number of items needed to prepare a custom quote for you to consider. These would be added to your package and final balance due one month before.

 

14. Are the wedding packages available year round? Holidays?
Our wedding packages are available year round with the exception of Christmas week, Valentine's week, and Mother's Day week. We cannot offer these packages during those holiday weeks because wholesalers increase the cost of flowers 2-3x and availability cannot be guaranteed. Full custom weddings during holidays start at $5,000 and up and require early booking.

15. When can I pick up my wedding flowers?
It is always best to pick up your wedding flowers as close to the time you will need them as possible. If you are doing photographs before your service, it is smart to get your flowers ahead of time. Wedding package flowers will be available for pickup the day of your wedding starting at 9am daily or 10am on Sunday when we open. Exact pickup time will be confirmed one week before. Flowers must be picked up — we do not hold flowers past your wedding date.

16. Can I see my flowers early?
We design your package wedding flowers the day before your wedding for maximum freshness. If you choose to stop in to see how things are progressing once we notify you they are ready, you are more than welcome to do so the day before. We cannot do early previews days in advance as flowers are perishable.

17.  My wedding is out of town — how do I keep flowers fresh while traveling?
If your wedding is out of town from Plattsburgh, we make special arrangements to have your flowers ready at a time you have discussed so you can get to your destination on time. We will package your floral pieces in appropriate boxes and with water sources where possible so traveling is easier. We are not responsible for flowers once they leave our shop. We recommend keeping flowers in a cool place, out of direct sun, and in water until use.
