Hello
We are Himalaya & Everest, Official Ambassadors of Paw-sitive Blossoms at Plattsburgh Flower Market. If you'd like to read about our personal history, see below.
Our Story
Meet Himalaya and Everest! Himalaya and Everest, the Official Ambassadors of Pawsitive Blossoms at Plattsburgh Flower Market, are our delightful Samoyed rescue dogs. They are a bonded pair that has become an integral part of the Plattsburgh Flower Market family. Through fascinating DNA research, we've discovered they are half brother and sister, a fact that only strengthens their inseparable bond.
Approximately three years old, these sweet companions bring joy and warmth wherever they go. While they love greeting everyone, they aren't always here in the flower shop at the same time. Instead, they take turns and alternate shop duty days with their big brother from another mother, Bentley!
While we don't know what type of life they had before we adopted them, we believe they may have rescued us just as much as we rescued them. Nothing compares to the love of a loyal canine friend, and Himalaya and Everest embody that spirit every day.
Everest
Everest is our quiet, sweet big little man. He has a gentle way of filling a room without ever asking for attention. Everest doesn't play with toys the way most dogs do — he's more of a manager. Give him a toy and he'll go straight into protection mode, carefully carrying it outside or tucking it into a corner so it "doesn't bother anyone." He's the steady, soulful heart of our flower shop: observant, tender, and always making sure everything — and everyone — is right where it should be.
Himalaya ("Laya")
Himalaya — lovingly called Laya — is our little foxy diva. If she could talk, she'd strut into every room with a confident "hey girl hey!" and expect all eyes on her. And if she isn't the center of attention? You'll hear about it through her signature whines and grumbles. When Everest is getting pets, Laya is quick to remind us: "hey, what about me!" Though she's 6 months younger, Laya is our tiny but mighty protector — wearing the pants and standing up for Everest if she thinks he could be in danger. He's not, but she's not taking chances. The two share an inseparable bond. For instance, Laya doesn't like brooms — when one comes out she'll run, hide, and make sure Everest is safe with her. Whatever the reason, they've decided the best place to be is together.
Whether they're greeting you at the door or performing their charming antics, these furry friends are sure to steal your heart. Stop by to say hello when they're in (feel free to call in advance if you want to check if they are here), and experience the unconditional joy that only special canines like them can offer!
