Meet Colleen, co-owner and founding heart behind Plattsburgh Flower Market. Colleen's path in floristry began humbly as a delivery driver for Clark's Flower Shop, where she quickly stood out for more than just her punctual routes.  Customers remembered her warmth, her eye for a beautiful bouquet, and the extra care she put into every doorstep delivery.

That passion for people and flowers led her to the original Plattsburgh Flower Market on City Hall Place, where her role — and her love for the craft — continued to grow.  In 2004, when the opportunity arose to purchase the shop, Colleen and her daughter Melanie saw the potential to build something lasting together.  They took the leap, transforming what was once a simple "bucket shop" into the full-service design studio and community staple it is today.

Over the past two decades, Collen has worn every hat: co-owner, general manager, buyer, delivery driver, and the welcoming voice customers hear when they call.  She's known for her steady leadership, her encyclopedic knowledge of her customers' favorite flowers, and her belief that exceptional service is personal.  Whether she's helping a first-time buyer or planning flowers for a 50th anniversary, Colleen treats every order with the same care she showed on her very first delivery route.

A lifelong learner at heart, Colleen stays inspired by the creativity of the floral industry and the community of designers who share their knowledge online.  While the day-to-day demands of running a shop don't always allow for travel, she's always reading, researching, and tuning into virtual design sessions to keep her skills — and the shop's offerings — fresh.

Today, Colleen and Melanie continue to lead Plattsburgh Flower Market as a multigenerational, mother-daughter team.  With her hard work, dedication, and genuine love for this community, Colleen isn't just a co-owner — she's the foundation of the shop's reputation for warmth, reliability, and heart.
